A unique example of Romanesque civil architecture. The Canónigos quarter of the former Cathedral of Santa María, situated near the Alcázar and destroyed following the War of the Comuneros. Houses line the present-day streets of Daoíz and Velarde.

Similar structure: a façade with a semicircular arch and an entrance hall opening onto the central courtyard; generally two storeys high, with the upper floor serving as the main living area. The aqueduct channel runs beneath the pavement of Daoíz towards the Alcázar and supplied water to these houses.

The Claustra Gate, one of the three entrances to the complex, remains on Velarde, featuring a Pietà and sgraffito motifs.
