Where the local council is based
A building erected by Pedro de Brizuela in the early 17th century in the Herrerian style. It provided a permanent home for the council, which used to meet in the atrium of the old Church of San Miguel. The granite façade features a wide balcony opening onto the Plaza Mayor. Inside, highlights include the Assembly Hall, the White Room, the venue for official receptions, featuring scenes from Segovia’s history and medallions depicting illustrious figures; the Fireplace Room, with paintings by the Segovian artist Santos Sanz; and the Plenary Hall. It serves as the main headquarters of Segovia City Council.
