Inside, the cloth was stamped with the city’s coat of arms. The quality achieved by Segovian textiles was remarkable; in the 18th century, the Royal Factory of Superfine Cloth of the Company was established with the monarch’s support, but it went bankrupt. This was followed by the Royal Cloth Factory of Ortiz de Paz, established as a private enterprise, which enjoyed great prosperity.

It currently houses offices of PROdestur Segovia.
