Cuesta de la Zorra

We are now on the northern section of the wall, leaving the Alcázar behind us. The route continues along the Cuesta de la Zorra, a descent to the neighbourhood of San Marcos. In this neighbourhood there are various paths and walks along the banks of the River Eresma.
The wall on this northern side shows areas of significant deterioration due to the vegetation that grows easily in this humid and shady area.
From here, you can see other monuments of special interest, such as the Royal Mint and the Monastery of Santa María del Parral.
From this point, we can see the village of Zamarramala and the Church of Veracruz in the background.
