Plot

This is the story of five mice. While four of them work tirelessly gathering provisions for the winter, Frederick devotes himself to collecting rays of sunshine, colours and words. 

The difference between this story and the fable of “The Ant and the Grasshopper” is that the other mice do not reproach him for this, but rather appreciate his stories during the harshest and hungriest days of winter.
