Plot
The newlywed Count Flores leaves for war and will not return. The Countess waits for the three years the Count told her and then some more. Her parents ask her to remarry, but she, dressed in mourning, sets out in search of him to see if he is alive. She finally finds him, rich, owner of a castle and about to marry. The Countess, without being discovered, asks him for his will. He, together with his bride, gives her a real. She, not satisfied, reveals herself and the Count falls to the ground, struck down.

He returns to the Countess and the bride who was going to marry alone will remain.
