14th-16th centuries. Stronghold reformed by Francisco de Eraso, secretary of King Phillip II, in the mid-16th century. 

A magnificent Renaissance patio was added then, as the covered gallery in its inner garden. Currently Caja Segovia Trust Museum (Museo Fundación Caja Segovia).
